Competition Results
People often ask us, "How can you go about picking winners for a competition as incredible as the one you've been running in Legends of Zork?" Well, it's very simple really, we just select a couple of criteria and then follow that through to the end. Let me explain...
First, we look at the rankings and see who has the most fame, which in this case was FlyingJoe and Ned Plopbottom, who are clearly both deserving winners. Then we simply find a selection of monkeys (preferably wild, but you can raid your local zoo if you must) and train them to play pin the tail on the donkey. We then give them each fake tails and pins and leave them in a room which has been filled with thousands of papier mâché donkeys, each of which has the name of a Legends of Zork player painted on its side. After 10 minutes we enter the room and check to see which donkeys have had their tails pinned closest to the correct area and after a brief consultation of our "Encyclopaedia of Donkey Anatomy" it was decided that Zizi and AladinSane were closest to correct and thus became our two random winners!
Finally we let Dylan arbitrarily pick someone from the Facebook group, and after everyone in the office calmly explaining that awarding it to Tom from Myspace was neither a good advertising idea nor funny, Bzart was selected by the gods of chance to win the last prize.
So, congratulations to FlyingJoe, Ned Plopbottom, Zizi, AladinSane and Bzart, you are the lucky winners of our limited edition Zork prints, which will soon be on their way to you! Not that we're happy for you, those prints have been sitting in our trophy case beside our crystal trident and golden canary for so long that we'd gotten quite attached to them. Still, well done. I guess...
